WHAT IS NUBE DOBLE?
Nube doble is a Spanish online school specialized in the preparation for official exams (DELE, SIELE), Spanish for business (specific vocabulary and trainings for job interviews) and General Spanish lessons tailored to your needs (grammar explanations and review, conversation lessons, etc...)
I like to create materiales, like podcast and short videos for students in our Youtube channel. And soon, I will start to offer specific courses to study determinaded topics (subjuntivo, DELE exams....)
Here, apart from offering Spanish lessons online, I will share my experience in the classroom (online lesson and face-to-face lessons at university), things that inspire me and materials I create to learn Spanish in the blog
WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
nube means cloud. So you can easily guess that Nube doble means two similar clouds. Also the cloud is a part of almost everything on our devices these days. And finally, nube reminds me my roots.
In Malaga, where I was born and lived for 25 years, "nube doble" is one of the different ways to order a coffee. Nube is much weaker coffee with milk (aprox. 25% coffee and 75% milk). This is one of the things I like the most about Spanish language; the variety of lexic, how the same word could have a lot of different meanings.
My name is Sergio and as I mentioned before, I am from Málaga, south of Spain, but right now I am living in Riga, Latvia. I graduated in Business Administration but after some time working in an office I understood it wasn't for me. And then my first opportunity to teach Spanish arrived in a language centre in Riga.
In 2015 I moved to Hamburg where I started a small project to teach Spanish for Business called Hola Hamburg. After some months away, my previous students from Riga proposed me to keep teaching them on Skype. And bit a bit I started to get new students until I decided to open this website.
Despite I really like teaching online, I feel that I am lucky to be able to keep working in a language center (Spanu kulturas centrs Séneca) and universities (Riga Business School and Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technoologies) to get the perfect mix of these two pieces of teaching experience. My biggest concern is to keep learning and training. I am studying now an official master for teaching Spanish as a foreign language, and everytime I can I go to workshops and congresses to learn about new techniques and teaching methods, and also as a speaker for Spanish teachers to show my experience as a online teacher.
